E-mail: rebecca@aspenminecenter.org

Date Of Birth: Ext. 101

Rebecca Blair is a Colorado native and has worked in various fields. After completing her degree in advertising journalism at Boulder, she started work at The Colorado Springs Sun newspaper and then the Gazette. From there, she landed a position at Focus on the Family in the in-house advertising agency, Briargate Media, where she syndicated Dr. Dobson’s column to more than 500 newspapers both in and out of the US. She also did media buying for the ministry in the areas of print and outdoor.

Finally, in 2005, she escaped city life for a wonderful home in Divide, CO with her husband, Russ, who works for the US Forest Service in Lake George, CO. She enjoys hiking, spending time with family and is an avid rock hunter. During her time in Teller, she volunteered with In the Lord’s Service as a driver for seniors. Later, when life left her looking for another career, she applied for and was accepted as the Senior Advocate at the Community of Caring / Aspen Mine Center in Cripple Creek. She has happily kept herself quite busy researching resources for seniors and helping clients get the benefits available to keep them in their homes and out of institutional facilities.
