Brent has been employed with Pikes Peak Workforce Center at the Aspen Mine Center/Community of Caring since May of 2015. Here he is fortunate to be able to provide assistance to clients in need of employment assistance, career guidance, and transitional job support, while being a part of an awesome team of social assistance specialists at the Community of Caring and our partners in the Aspen Mine Center. We offer a “hand up” (not a “hand out”) and are proud of our outcomes in the community.

Brent previously held the position of Teller County Sustainability Coordinator with the Coalition for the Upper South Platte, promoting recycling and conservation measures throughout the county. He has long been an advocate for renewable energy, having lived off-grid with his incredible wife and daughter for the past 20 years, and enjoys helping folks with solar system design. His volunteer activities include rehabilitation counseling for Penrose/St. Francis, and serving as a board member for both the Southeastern Colorado Renewable Energy Society and the Peak Alliance for a Sustainable Future. His favorite pastime, when not fishing in the summer, is doing woodcrafts in his workshop at home.
