Community of Caring Volunteer and Community Service Program

Help us help others… Volunteer!

The Community of Caring Volunteer and Community Service Program – We need your skills and smiling face.

Since the opening of the Aspen Mine Center, Community of Caring has implemented a volunteer program. Our volunteers are a cherished and priceless part of what we do. On a yearly average over 7,000 hours of volunteer time valued at $85,000 have been logged.

We are always seeking new volunteers! Helping us means you’ve helped our entire community. It’s something you can be very proud of and it’s incredibly satisfying.

Whether you like being out front with customer service or working behind the scenes, we have a slot for you that you’ll enjoy. Our Thrift Shoppe, Clothes Closet, Commodities Day once each month, Wednesday Lunch, setup and assistance with special events, Christmas decorating…the time you can give is at your convenience and welcomed. Contact us for full details.

We also serve as a judicial court-ordered community service site. Through this project, we have provided over 1,300 service hours for individuals to fulfill their community service requirements in an attractive, pleasant atmosphere.

Many of our community service clients have volunteered with us long after completing service, becoming part of our extended family. These individuals are a source of pride to us!

To volunteer, please email our volunteer coordinator at:  volunteer@aspenminecenter.org
